I believe that I have discovered a worm hole, but how can I prove it?

It is about a millimeter across, how far down it goes is anyone's guess. I stuck a needle in the ground to see if I could find the bottom but I just keeps going. I was thinking maybe if I got a worm and put it near the hole if it would instinctively burrow into the hole. I know this does not prove my hypothesis but I don't see any other way...
