Ny partner is sick plz help?

my partner has been sick, eg. vomiting, sick feeling in his tummy, little bit of runny poo but only one time. today it has been a week since he got sick, he can't get out of bed, i took him to the doctor on friday they said he has gastro they gave him a needle to stop the vomiting and tablets but it's still not working, took him back yesterday and still say he will get better in couple of days but gastro only last for 4-5 days. should i take him up to the hospital or what? about 2 months ago he had blood posioning from having bad teeth someone help me i dont know what to do :/
